Proposed Zoning Bylaw Text Amendment – Housekeeping and Minor Amendments
City Council will consider Bylaw No. 10219, The Zoning Amendment Bylaw, 2026 (No. 25) which proposes text amendments to Bylaw No. 9990, Zoning Bylaw, 2024. The proposed amendments include housekeeping items and minor amendments to support effective implementation of the Zoning Bylaw.
City Council, at the Public Hearing meeting on September 25, 2024, approved Bylaw No. 9990, Zoning Bylaw, 2024, replacing Bylaw No. 8770, Zoning Bylaw, 2009, following a comprehensive review undertaken between 2019 and 2024. Bylaw No. 9990 was approved by the Province of Saskatchewan and came into force on January 3, 2025.
After approximately 18 months of administering Bylaw No. 9990, Administration has identified housekeeping items and minor amendments required to support effective implementation. The housekeeping items include corrections to minor drafting errors, omissions, inconsistencies, cross-references and other technical matters.
REASON FOR THE AMENDMENT – The proposed amendments are intended to support effective implementation of the Zoning Bylaw by improving clarity, consistency, interpretation and enforceability.

PUBLIC HEARING – City Council will consider this matter at the Public Hearing meeting on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Council Chamber, City Hall, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. You may make a written submission to City Council or request to speak at the Public Hearing.
