Information for Evacuees
Saskatchewan Wildfire Updates
Updates on the current wildfire situation can be found on the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency website at saskpublicsafety.ca.
Registration
All evacuees should register as soon as possible with either the Canadian Red Cross or Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA). Who you register with depends on where you are being evacuated from. This information would have been shared by your community’s leadership. If you are not sure if your community is supported by the Canadian Red Cross or the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency – information is located on the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency website.
Communities who have evacuated to Saskatoon have contracted lodging and food services from the Canadian Red Cross. To register with the Canadian Red Cross, please call 1-800-863-6582 AND visit the Canadian Red Cross Registration Centre located at Cosmo Civic Centre in Saskatoon (3130 Laurier Drive).
Communities currently evacuated to Saskatoon are members of:
- Lac La Ronge Indian Band
- Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation
If you are not from one of these communities and you have not registered for the Sask Evac App, or you chose to self-evacuate, you may register to access services through the SPSA at https://app.saskecs.ca.
Registering is important so that you can get information on services and assistance available to you during this difficult time. It also helps people to get the support they need.
