BYXE Week happens in February and May each year.
More details on BYXE Week (May 15 to 21) here!
What is BYXE Week?
BYXE Week is an initiative aimed at encouraging and promoting cycling, while also celebrating those who make cycling a part of their commute year-round. We dedicate a week in the winter and a week in spring for BYXE Week.
Where will the ride take you?
This week, bike to work, bike to enjoy nature, bike for exercise or bike for family time! Then snap a picture and share it with us on social media using #BYXE to enter to win a prize!!
Bike anywhere - anytime - all week!
BYXE Week promotes and encourages cycling year-round and celebrates those who make cycling a part of their commute. Cycling is a healthy, convenient and low-cost form of everyday transportation that improves our community by decreasing traffic congestion and reducing air pollution. We hope this event inspires more people to think of cycling as a regular means of transportation and to experience the benefits of arriving at your destination feeling refreshed, energized and alert.
If you live too far to bike the entire way, consider taking Saskatoon Transit part of the way. Plan your trip using the Transit app and Google Transit. All buses are equipped with front bike racks that are free and easy to use, but are unable to accommodate the transport of fat bikes, due to the tire width.
Bridge City Bicycle Co-op
The Bridge City Bicycle Co-op provides a space and tools for its members to learn how to fix and maintain their own bikes.
Saskatoon Cycles advocates for a city in which cycling is a viable, year-round mode of transportation that is safe and convenient for ages 8 to 88.
