Making a Bylaw Complaint
People deserve a clean, safe and healthy place to live; bylaws help achieve this. Our Bylaw Inspectors investigate reports of violations. Please use the form below to submit a bylaw concern.
What you can expect from us
- Your submission will be thoroughly investigated to assess if a bylaw has been broken.
-
If a bylaw violation is found, we will work with the offender to try and correct the situation. If necessary, tickets or further orders may be issued. Some bylaw complaints can take up to a year to fully assess due to legal processes.
How you can help us
- If comfortable, we encourage you to talk to your neighbour about your concern.
- Use the form below to submit your complaint online - include as much detail as possible.
- Be available and willing to help if a Bylaw Inspector requires more information from you.
Anonymous submissions will not be accepted. All submissions received are maintained as confidential. We will not share your personal information with a neighbour or the property of concern. Due to privacy considerations, a status update of the file will not be provided to you.
