General Information Request

A general information request is any request that is not a personal request or that is not readily available on the City’s website.

Access to Information Request Form - online submission

Examples of a general information request record made under the Act include:

  • Investigation, compliance and enforcement records
  • Fire investigation and inspection reports
  • Animal control files
  • Procurement documents (bid information, awarded contracts, invoices and purchase orders)
  • Environmental assessments and reports
  • Property records (building plans, permits, building inspections, tax assessments)
  • Service reports
  • Information about City projects
  • Reports to Council (that are not publicly available)  

Important: For quicker access (three business days) to the building and property information listed below, follow the Property Disclosure Request process. This type of information request requires the completion of a Property Information Disclosure application along with a $20.00 payment to building.standards@saskatoon.ca.

  • Building and plumbing permit history and deficiencies
  • Occupancy permits for existing suites in one-unit dwellings
  • Outstanding fire orders
  • Heritage and zoning designations
  • Outstanding landscaping and parking requirements
  • Presence of additional zoning requirements
