Accessibility Plan
At the City of Saskatoon, accessibility is key to fairness and inclusion. We strive to ensure everyone can fully participate in our community, whether at work, play, or in daily life. The City committed to creating an Accessibility Plan that reflects the needs and experiences of all residents.
Through a structured consultation process with over 500 people, we gathered valuable insights from the community to guide our efforts in building a barrier free city and developing the City's first Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, in support of the Accessible Saskatchewan Act. The sharing of these lived experiences helped the City build a stronger understanding of the hardships people face and provides direction for how best to address these concerns, without negating the great work that has already been done over the years to improve accessibility and address barriers at the City.
We are grateful to everyone who shared their stories with us.
