Celebrate Arbor Week 2026 in Saskatoon
Residents are invited to recognize the value of trees and our urban forest during Arbor Week, taking place May 24 to 31, 2026. A variety of activities organized by the SOS Trees Coalition will offer residents, students and families opportunities to learn about proper tree planting, discover the many benefits trees provide, and enjoy time spent in Saskatoon’s green spaces.
As part of the week’s events, the City, in partnership with SOS Trees Coalition, is hosting a community tree planting that will bring together students from Estey School and Walter Murray Collegiate. New trees and shrubs will be planted near Sifton Park in the Mount Royal neighbourhood to enhance the area and create a more welcoming and vibrant green space.
Date & Time: Thursday, May 28 at 9 a.m.
Location: Green space northwest of Sifton Park along 29th St. W., Saskatoon
This event is made possible by funding from the Government of Canada through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
Trees play an important role in enhancing Saskatoon’s quality of life. Arbor Week is a reminder of the importance of caring for and supporting the continued growth of the city’s urban forest.
