City monitoring residential street conditions following mid-winter thaw
Following inspections across Saskatoon, crews have determined that conditions do not currently require city-wide grading of residential streets. At this time, the City will continue with its established winter level of service, which focuses on responding to areas on an “as-needed” basis rather than broad residential grading.
If residents have concerns about snow or rutting on their street, they are encouraged to contact the Customer Care Center at Customercare@saskatoon.ca or (306) 975-2476. A Roadways crew will inspect the area and, where conditions are found to pose a safety concern or significantly affect mobility, grading will be completed to restore safe travel and mobility.
Crews will continue to monitor residential street conditions closely as weather and road conditions change. If conditions deteriorate, the City is prepared to adjust its approach, by scaling-up maintenance activities if needed.
