Road restrictions on 22nd Street W and Idylwyld Drive intersection starting Wednesday

Starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, 22nd Street W will have eastbound lane restrictions and closures for road resurfacing. The 22nd Street and Idylwyld Drive intersection will have two phases of resurfacing for approximately two days during this closure. Single-lane eastbound traffic will be maintained on 22nd Street W for the duration of this project. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the area. The City thanks everyone in advance for their patience.

This work is expected to take eight days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

The restrictions are as follows:

• 22nd Street W eastbound curb and centre lanes closed between Idylwyld Drive and Avenue E S on October 21 and October 26, 2026.
• 22nd Street W eastbound curb and centre lanes closed between Avenue E S and Avenue H S on October 22 and October 27, 2026.
• 22nd Street W eastbound median and left turn lanes closed between Idylwyld Drive and Avenue H S on October 23 and October 28, 2026.
• 22nd Street W eastbound closed at Idylwyld Drive intersection. The west side of the intersection will be fully closed from October 24 to October 25, 2026.
• 22nd Street E westbound closed at Idylwyld Drive intersection. The east side of the intersection will be fully closed from October 25 to October 26, 2026.

Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
