Winter BYXE Week invites Saskatoon to keep rolling all winter long
Are you ready to roll right through winter? Residents are invited to embrace cold-weather cycling during Winter BYXE Week, taking place February 7 to 15, presented by the City of Saskatoon in partnership with Saskatoon Cycles.
Winter BYXE Week celebrates staying active and getting around on two wheels while enjoying the snowy Saskatoon landscape. A variety of activities and events are planned throughout the week, including a scavenger hunt, photo contest and the signature Bike to Work Day on Thursday, February 12.
Bike to Work Day encourages residents to try winter cycling as part of their daily routine. Local businesses and organizations will host commuter stations around the city, offering refreshments, snacks and a warm welcome to people travelling by bike.
Winter cycling is a convenient and affordable way to stay active and boost physical and mental well-being, while reducing traffic congestion and emissions. Whether commuting or just riding for fun, winter biking helps keep Saskatoon moving all year long.
Residents are encouraged to explore local bike routes and take part in events throughout the week. If you live too far to bike the entire way, Saskatoon Transit buses are equipped with free, easy-to-use bike racks, making it simple to combine cycling and transit.

This winter let’s keep the good times rolling!
