#WINTERCITYYXE: Grant Applications Now Open to Enhance Winter Activities

The City invites funding applicants to help enhance winter activities and projects as part of the WinterCityYXE Strategy. Non-profit organizations, community groups, businesses, or for-profit organizations are encouraged to apply.
The WinterCityYXE Strategy is an intentional effort by the City and community stakeholders to celebrate what makes Saskatoon unique as a four-season place that is inviting, vibrant and prosperous, even in the coldest months of the year.
“This grant is intended to provide resources to help make winter more fun and exciting for everyone,” said Brenda Wallace, Director of Environmental & Corporate Performance. The WinterCityYXE grant program consists of three categories:
- Winter Comfort and Access - Projects that improve comfort and accessibility.
- Winter Design - Urban design installations which celebrate winter.
- Winter Activities - Events, festivals and activities that build enthusiasm for winter by taking advantage of winter opportunities and celebrate the fun quality of life.
The total monetary value of the grants is $50,000 with maximum denominations to each group being $10,000.
The deadline to apply is May 18, 2018.
