We want our region to be ready for growth, to enable economic prosperity for everyone, and support the quality of life that we enjoy. The Saskatoon North Partnership for Growth (P4G) partnering municipalities agreed that they needed to develop and adopt a long term view and plan for land use and servicing that is regional in scope.
The City of Saskatoon has expanded its boundaries to include land that was previously within the Rural Municipality of Corman Park. The boundary alteration process is also referred to as ‘annexation’.
The Corman Park - Saskatoon Planning District was first established in 1956. The Planning District is an area inside the Rural Municipality of Corman Park that extends approximately one to three miles from City limits. In this area, the R.M. and the City of Saskatoon have joint interests and have agreed to jointly manage land use and development.
