Information for Voters

A by-election has been called to fill a vacant trustee position in the St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Separate School Division No. 20 - Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS). The election will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Who can Vote

For a person to be eligible to vote on election day, they must:

• be at least 18 years of age;
• be a Canadian citizen;
• have resided in Saskatchewan for at least six consecutive months;
• be a resident of Saskatoon and have resided within the boundaries of the separate school division for at least three consecutive months and; and
• be of the Catholic faith (any Catholic rite, such as Roman, Ukrainian, Chaldean, etc., that recognizes the pope as the leader of the church)
   

Identification Requirements

You are required to bring acceptable identification (ID) that bears your name and address with you to the voting location:

• One piece of identification issued by the Government of Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan, a municipality or a government agency that contains a photograph of the voter and his or her name and address e.g. Saskatchewan driver's licence or Saskatchewan photo-ID
• Any two pieces of information or documents, each of which establishes the voter’s name and at least one of which establishes the voter’s address. There are more than 50 pieces of acceptable ID documents.

A voter can also have another eligible voter who is a family member with acceptable ID documents to vouch for their identity, by completing the appropriate declaration with the election official at their polling location on election day, if they do not have any of the acceptable ID documents.

You can vote at the location closest or convenient for you during the advance poll or on election day.

Advance Poll - Wednesday, April 8, 2026 (11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.)

Election Day - Wednesday April 15, 2026 (9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
