Scene Upon Arrival:
Firefighters observed smoke and flames coming from the home and garage
Action(s) Taken:
- Crews advanced hose lines to apply water to the exterior fire of the boarded up house
- Crews performed a defensive fire attack
- Another crew removed boards from the house to gain access to check for fire extension to the interior
- Crews gained access to the attic with a chain saw, to fully extinguish the fire and remove smoke
- Crews made entry to check for occupants inside as there was evidence of access to the back of the house
More Information:
- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
