For immediate release: December 7, 2020 - 10:14am

The on-scene examination into the cause of this fire has concluded.  Due to the significant damage to the structure the cause remains undetermined.

No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.  Damage is estimated at $75,000.00.

The Saskatoon Fire Department is on scene at a fire in a mobile home after receiving a 911 call at 5:58 pm reporting flames coming from a home in the 1500 block of Rayner Avenue.  Dispatched to the scene were 3 engines, a ladder, a rescue, a battalion chief and a fire investigator.

First arriving fire officers indicated the home was fully involved in fire when on scene.  Reports from firefighters indicate the floor has burned through and crews are taking defensive actions to protect adjacent structures while applying water to the interior.

It is unknown currently if there was anyone home at the time if the fire.

Fire crews remain on scene and a fire investigator will conduct an internal examination once safe to continue.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
