Proposal
The Planning and Development Department has received an application from Silver Creek Developments (the applicant) proposing to rezone land in the Brighton neighbourhood to accommodate the next phase of residential development.
Proposed Rezoning
The subject land is part of Parcels LL1 and LL4, Plan 102343979, which are in the north-west part of Brighton on Traeger Common. The land is currently undeveloped and zoned FUD(H) – Future Urban Development District subject to the Holding Symbol.
The applicant is proposing to rezone the land to R1A – Low Density Residential District 1A and RMTN – Townhouse Residential District, as shown on the map below.
The R1A District provides for residential development in form of one- to four-unit dwellings and related community uses. The RMTN District provides for comprehensively planned low to medium density multiple-unit dwellings in the form of street townhouses, dwelling groups, and other building forms, as well as related community uses. The proposed zoning is in alignment with the Brighton Neighbourhood Concept Plan.
