What Are We Doing?
The City of Saskatoon is upgrading the neighborhood storm water drainage to reduce the flood risk at the intersection of Cumberland Avenue and Main Street (Flood Zone #8 – 22 flooded buildings in 1-in-10-year storm). To mitigate flood risk, a storm water dry pond and supporting infrastructure with the capacity to store 1-in-10-year rainfall event will be constructed in Cumberland Park.

How Was the Community Involved?
Feedback was requested from local residents and park users, which will be considered in the final design. Two engagement opportunities were used to gather feedback.
- An information session was held for the residents and park users on September 11, 2024 from 630pm till 8pm, at Brunskill School (Large Gym), 101 Wiggings Ave S, Saskatoon, SK S7N1K3.
- An online survey was launched to receive feedback from the residents and park users on the design of the project. The survey was open for responses until September 20, 2024.
Details of the engagement can be found in the Engagement Summary Report.
