The Planning and Development Department has received an application from BDM Enterprises Ltd. (the applicant) proposing to rezone land within the Brighton neighbourhood to accommodate the next phase of residential development.
Proposed Rezoning
The subject land is located in the northwest portion of Brighton and is part of Parcel LL1, Plan 102343979. It includes a portion of Traeger Manor and Traeger Terrace. The land is currently undeveloped and zoned FUD(H) – Future Urban Development District subject to the Holding Symbol.
The applicant is proposing to rezone the land to R2 – Low Density Residential District 2, as shown on the map below. The proposed rezoning to the R2 District would facilitate residential development in the form of one- to four-unit dwellings as well as related community uses. The proposed rezoning is in alignment with the Brighton Neighbourhood Concept Plan.
