The Building Better Roads program has an annual funding level of $61 million that covers road construction, road repair, pothole patching, sidewalk rehabilitation, back lane upgrades, street sweeping, and snow and ice management. This year's goal to rehabilitate 206 lane kilometres of roadway was met and 33 kilometres of sidewalks were improved - 13 kilometres more than forecast. Since the establishment of a dedicated road levy in 2014, 1015 lane kilometres of roadway and 64 kilometres of sidewalk have been improved under the program.
