8th Street and McKercher Drive intersection operating as 4-way stop Thanksgiving Monday
The intersection at 8th Street and McKercher Drive will operate as a 4-way stop on Monday, October 13, starting at 6:00 a.m. for Link station construction. Motorists are encouraged to plan for delays or use alternate routes. This work is expected to take one day to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Construction on Link station platforms began in 2024 and will continue until the launch of the rapid transit system in 2028. Construction will at times require temporary closures and detours along the Link route to allow for the installation of the required infrastructure.
Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
