Additional road closures on College Drive starting Thursday

In addition to the current detours on College Drive and the University Bridge, the north lanes of College Drive between Munroe Avenue and Cumberland Avenue N will be closed for construction beginning Thursday, July 9, at 6 a.m. Two-way traffic will be maintained in the south lanes of College Drive, with one lane open in each direction, between Hospital Drive and Cumberland Avenue N. Additional space will be reserved to ensure emergency medical services (EMS) have access as needed. Access between College Drive and the University campus at Wiggins Road and Bottomley Road will also be closed.

Emergency service vehicles will continue to have access across the University Bridge to Hospital Drive throughout construction. Pedestrian access will also remain available.

General traffic access across the University Bridge is expected to reopen in approximately one week with one lane in each direction, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
