City boards, commissions and committees information session tonight, Wednesday, September 9
Saskatoon residents are invited to attend an information session this evening, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to learn how they can help shape what’s next for Saskatoon by serving on a City board, commission or committee.
The session is for residents interested in volunteering their time, experience and perspectives for the 2027 term. First-time applicants are welcome.
Plan to attend to ask questions and hear from current and former members about their experiences. Learn how you can contribute your perspective, skills and experience to issues that matter to you and your community.

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
City Hall, in Committee Room E
- Please enter City Hall through the accessible entrance Door 1A off 4th Avenue North.
- Parking is available in the City Hall back parking lot.
Attendees will learn about:
- Who can apply for City boards, commissions and committees
- The application process
- The role of public members and what to expect
- Time commitments and meeting expectations
- Available positions and how to apply
- Honorariums, where applicable
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and strongly encourage submissions from Indigenous peoples, equity-deserving groups/ethnically diverse communities, immigrants, members of the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community, persons with disabilities, youth aged 16–23 and other under-represented groups.
Applications for the 2027 term are being accepted until September 18, 2026. Vacancies remain open until filled.
