City boards, commissions & committees public information session Tuesday, September 1; apply September 1 - 18
Help shape what’s next for Saskatoon by applying to serve on a City board, commission or committee for the 2027 term. You'll have opportunities to share your input, help inform decisions and guide recommendations on policies, programs and services that affect Saskatoon residents.
Thinking about applying but not sure if you're eligible? Have questions about time commitments or the application process?
Members of the public are invited to an upcoming information session to ask questions and hear from current and former members about their experiences. Plan to attend and learn about our wide variety of available positions where you can contribute your perspective, skills and experience on issues that matter to you and your community.
Information Sessions
Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at City Hall in Committee Room E
Wednesday, September 9, 2026, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at City Hall in Committee Room E
Enter City Hall through accessible entrance Door 1A off 4th Avenue North. Parking is available in the City Hall back parking lot.
Information sessions will cover:
- who can apply for City boards, commissions and committees
- the application process
- the role of public members and what to expect
- time commitments and meeting expectations
- available positions
- honorariums, including which boards offer honorariums and when payments are made, where applicable
Applications for the 2027 term will be accepted from September 1 to September 18, 2026. Vacancies remain open until filled.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and strongly encourage submissions from Indigenous peoples, equity-deserving groups/ethnically diverse communities, immigrants, members of the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community, persons with disabilities, youth aged 16–23 and other under-represented groups.
