Downtown road restrictions in place for annual Canada Day event on Tuesday
Various downtown roads will have closures and lane restrictions starting Monday, June 30 at 7:00 p.m. to Wednesday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. for the annual Canada Day event. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the event area. Drivers are reminded to drive carefully and watch for participants. The City thanks everyone for their patience.
Saskatoon Transit will temporarily adjust detour routes that currently run on Victoria Avenue and the Traffic Bridge during this event. Route 8 will use 8th Street, Idylwyld Drive and the Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge to maintain service to and from the downtown area. Travel along Victoria Avenue, and the Traffic Bridge will resume once event-related closures are lifted. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
