Downtown water main work continues on 25th Street

Construction continues on the Downtown Water Main Lining Project, with upcoming changes to traffic access along 25th Street East.

Beginning Monday, September 28, the closures of the 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue intersections will be extended for approximately one week to allow crews to complete paving. During this time, there will be no access to 25th Street East from the surrounding back alleys.

The extended closures are being coordinated to avoid a full closure of 25th Street East during paving.

Once paving at 2nd Avenue is complete, the intersection will reopen. A closure at 1st Avenue and 25th Street East will then begin Monday, October 5, and is expected to remain in place for two and a half weeks.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted signage and use alternate routes where possible.
