Full closures of priority one roads happening Thursday and Friday
Various priority one roadways will have closures and restrictions starting on Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11, 2026. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around these areas. The City thanks everyone in advance for their patience.
The closures will be as follows:
Brighton Gate closed between Cowessess Road and Westfield Road for crack sealing
Thursday, September 10 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
5th Avenue N closed between 24th Street E and 25th Street E for crane lift
Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
Idylwyld Drive northbound ramp to Avenue C N/51st Street E closed for overnight road resurfacing
Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily
Spadina Crescent closed between 22nd Street E and 23rd Street E for the Colliers Cup Charity Street Hockey Tournament
Friday, September 11 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
2nd Avenue N closed between 23rd Street E and 24th Street E for road work
Friday, September 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closure end times are weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
