It’s Electrical Worker Week in Saskatoon—Celebrate the People Who Light Up the City
Keeping Saskatoon energized takes expertise, dedication, and teamwork. From June 22–26, Saskatoon Light & Power is recognizing the many professionals who work behind the scenes to keep electricity flowing safely and reliably across our community.
Whether advancing major projects like the city’s first solar farm or carrying out essential duties such as pole installation, meter verification, and grid upkeep, our electrical workers demonstrate excellence in both routine operations and exceptional circumstances.
Electrical workers support our city in countless ways—maintaining the grid, troubleshooting complex systems, ensuring accurate metering, responding to outages, and working in all conditions to keep power reliable. From system controllers and electricians to line workers, technicians, metering teams, warehouse staff, and administrative support, every role is essential to keeping Saskatoon running.
