June weather causes delays to College Drive construction

Due to recent heavy rainfall and weather events throughout the month of June and forecasted rain for the remainder of this week, construction on College Drive is experiencing delays. Opening the University Bridge and College Drive corridor to two lanes of traffic – one lane in each direction – is now expected in mid- to late July, subject to favourable weather and construction conditions.

Emergency services vehicle access to the hospitals will be maintained across University Bridge throughout construction. Pedestrian access also remains in place.

The City is continuing to work with the contractor to finalize plans for upcoming stages of construction along College Drive. Additional information will be shared as details are confirmed.
