McOrmond Drive overpass closed overnight July 11 for bridge repairs

The McOrmond Drive overpass over College Drive will be closed overnight on Saturday, July 11, to accommodate warranty repairs on bridge bearings.

The closure will begin at 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, and is expected to be lifted by 7 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, weather permitting.

This work requires crews to jack (lift) each side of the bridge deck to remove and replace damaged bearings. One westbound lane of College Drive will be closed, but all other traffic flow will be maintained throughout the project. Drivers are encouraged to zipper merge to keep traffic moving smoothly.

Pedestrian and cycling access across the overpass will remain open during the closure. Detours will be in place to guide motorists around the area.
