Median closure at Idylwyld Drive and 71st Street intersection now in effect

The median at the intersection of Idylwyld Drive and 71st Street will be closed starting at 10 a.m. Friday, August 7.

Traffic on 71st Street will be required to turn right onto Idylwyld Drive and left turns off Idylwyld Drive at 71st Street will be prohibited. This closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 3 months. The traffic signals will be adjusted to provide more time to turn left from Idywlyld Drive onto Marquis Drive. The intersections will be monitored, and additional changes may be considered to improve safety or accommodate traffic flow as required.

This median closure will last while the Biosolids project adjacent to Wanuskewin is ongoing to improve safety.

Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
