Road restrictions for Santa Claus Parade on Sunday
Various downtown roads will have closures and lane restrictions on Sunday, November 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the annual Santa Claus Parade. Expect delays and temporary road closures in the downtown area. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the event area. Drivers are reminded to drive carefully and watch for participants. The City thanks everyone for their patience.
The following roads will begin closing at 9:00 a.m. and reopen by 3:00 p.m.
- 20th Street at 4th Avenue
- 21st Street between 1st and 2nd avenues
- 1st Avenue between 22nd and 23rd streets
- The Idylwyld Drive ramp to 1st Avenue
- 19th Street between Avenue B and 4th Avenue
The following roads will close at 12:00 p.m. and will reopen along the parade route
- 1st Avenue between 20th and 22nd streets
- 2nd Avenue between 19th and 23rd streets
- 3rd Avenue between 19th and 23rd streets
- 4th Avenue between 20th and 23rd streets
- 20th Street between Idylwyld Drive and Spadina Crescent
- 21st Street between 2nd Avenue and Spadina Crescent
- 22nd Street between Pacific and 5th avenues
