Road resurfacing on Diefenbaker Drive beginning June 12
Road resurfacing work is scheduled for Diefenbaker Drive eastbound between Diefenbaker Terrace and Laurier Drive beginning June 12.
Work will be done in phases to minimize impacts to the neighbourhood, with an expected completion date of June 23, weather permitting and barring unforeseen circumstances.
Work hours are between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., with evening and weekend work occurring as required. Residents can expect increased construction activity, including noise and vibration from heavy equipment.
Two-way traffic will be maintained in the westbound lanes. Access to adjacent driveways will be restricted beginning at 6 a.m. on the day work starts. On-street parking and access to parking lots adjacent to the work area will also be unavailable. Residents, businesses and visitors are asked to make alternate parking arrangements.
Drivers are encouraged to follow posted detours and use caution when travelling near construction zones.
Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
