Saskatoon Light & Power Responding to Widespread Storm-Related Power Outages

Saskatoon Light & Power is aware of the widespread power outages affecting customers across the city following overnight thunderstorms and severe weather.

Crews have been mobilized and are actively assessing damage, identifying affected areas, and carrying out repairs as quickly and safely as possible. Restoring power to customers remains our top priority, and crews will continue working until service is fully restored.

The extent of the outages and any storm-related damage may affect restoration timelines. Residents are encouraged to use caution during the morning commute, particularly at intersections where traffic signals may be without power. Treat all non-functioning traffic lights as four-way stops and watch for crews working near roadways.

Customers are also reminded to stay clear of any downed power lines and report hazardous situations immediately. Assume all downed lines are energized and dangerous.
