Sweep happens, Saskatoon. Let’s make sure it happens the right way
The City of Saskatoon’s neighbourhood street sweeping program kicks off Monday, May 5, 2025, with crews starting to clean residential roads across the city.
Watch for yellow “No Parking” signs to know when your street is scheduled. Moving your vehicle off the road on sweep day helps ensure the entire curb lane gets cleaned—keeping streets dirt-free and preventing debris from entering the stormwater system.
Sweeping crews will first target these neighbourhoods:
- Holiday Park
- King George
- Riversdale
- Pleasant Hill
- Fairhaven
- Stonebridge
- Adelaide/Churchill
- Nutana Park
- Nutana
- Holliston
- Grosvenor Park
- Haultain
- Buena Vista
- Varsity View
- Queen Elizabeth
Sweeping in residential neighbourhoods throughout Saskatoon is expected to take about seven weeks (weather permitting). Main roads are swept first to provide alternate parking options for residents. If a vehicle isn’t moved in time, it may be relocated nearby to allow crews to complete curb-to-curb sweeping.
Commercial and high-traffic streets have already been swept, and once roads are clean, line painting will follow to refresh crosswalks, lane markings and other road features that keep everyone moving safely.
