Mail has paused, but City services have not; business as usual for the City of Saskatoon

The City of Saskatoon is committed to providing uninterrupted customer service and business operations due to the Canada Post service disruption, which started Thursday, September 25, 2025.
“Given the disruption to mail delivery, we want to remind the community that “it’s business as usual at City Hall,” says Mike Voth, Director of Corporate Revenue. “We encourage residents to use our convenient online services, sign up for paperless billing and also visit the City’s website for information and our latest updates.”

Due to the Canada Post service disruption, customers may experience longer-than-usual wait times when contacting Customer Service Representatives by phone or in person at City Hall.

2nd Avenue closed between 20th and 21st streets starting Monday

2nd Avenue will be closed between 20th and 21st streets starting Monday, September 29, at 9:00 a.m. for construction. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the area. This project is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.

Traffic Bridge closed between 19th and 11th streets on Sunday evening

Traffic Bridge will be closed between 19th and 11th streets on Sunday, September 28, starting at 6:00 p.m. for cleaning. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the area. This project is expected to take six hours to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

The Circle Drive southbound ramp to 108th Street will be closed on Saturday, September 27, starting at 6:00 a.m. for roadway patching. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the area. Post-event drop-off is at the downtown terminal and regular fares apply ($3.00 per trip). Fare can be purchased on your mobile phone using either the TGo or transit app, transfers and passes are also accepted. Typically, buses arrive onsite 30 minutes prior to the end of the event.
