PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS FEE BYLAW – SIGN PERMIT APPLICATION FEES
Saskatoon City Council will consider Bylaw No. 10160, The Development Applications Fee Amendment Bylaw, 2026 to adjust sign permit application fees. The amendments are proposed to align specific sign permit application fees with review costs.
Sign permit application fees related to freestanding signs, project development signs, and walls signs are proposed to be adjusted following an analysis of review costs. Application fees for the three sign types will become consistent across all sign groups based on the average time required to review each application type.
REASON FOR THE AMENDMENT – Application fees for development related applications, including sign permits, must not exceed the costs to review an application. The proposed amendments ensure sign permit application fees for the three identified sign types align with review costs.
