What is the Project About?

The Connecting 19th Street East: Cycling and Public Realm Improvements project is focused on developing a functional design for 19th Street East between Avenue A and 4th Avenue. The project aims to create a context-sensitive corridor that balances the needs of all users while encouraging walking and cycling. The design also incorporates elements of the planned BRT stations at the 19th Street and 3rd Avenue intersections to ensure seamless integration with transit infrastructure.

This project aims to:
• Create an active transportation corridor that balances the needs of all users and strengthens network connectivity;
• Design a safe, comfortable, and accessible route for people walking, cycling, and using mobility aids; and
• Engage Saskatoon residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to ensure the design reflects local priorities and values.
