Discretionary Use Proposal
A Discretionary Use application has been submitted by Dream Developments requesting approval to convert an existing sales office to a child care centre at 115 Secord Way in the Brighton neighbourhood. The centre is proposed to operate with a maximum of 77 children and up to ten staff members at any one time between the hours of 7:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m, Monday to Friday.
The subject site is zoned RMTN1 – Townhouse Residential District 1 under the City of Saskatoon Zoning Bylaw. This zoning district facilitates medium density residential development in the form of townhouses and dwelling groups. A child care centre is considered a Discretionary Use in the RMTN1 District.
