Engage
What Are We Asking?
Elmwood Residences Inc (Elmwood) is seeking to purchase a section of Nutana Kiwanis Park North and subsequently have it re-zoned to expand their facility, creating the Elmwood Community Hub. The expanded facility would allow Elmwood to provide more clients with a supported, independent living environment, as well as expand the services they offer.
In January 2026, the City of Saskatoon is engaging with surrounding community members and park user groups to share preliminary project information, discuss the potential relocation of the Brevoort Park Community Garden and gather feedback on the possible impacts of the proposed development.
The feedback we receive will be considered, along with internal considerations and best practices, and presented as part of an information report to City Council. This will include a public hearing.
How Can You Get Involved?
Surrounding community members and identified stakeholders are invited to provide your feedback through numerous engagement activities, including an online survey, information session and meetings with specific stakeholders.

Meetings - Winter 2026
Because this project may directly impact the Brevoort Park Community Garden and potentially require its re-location, the City met directly the garden collective to ensure their feedback was heard and reported to Council.
Information Session - January 27, 2026
We hosted an information session open to the public on Tuesday, January 27 in the library at Holy Cross High School to share information about the proposed Elmwood Community Hub development and hear feedback from the community.
A presentation was provided at 6:30 p.m., followed by Q&A with City staff and Elmwood representatives, who provided an overview of the project and answered questions. Thank you to everyone who attended and provided their feedback!
Survey - January, 2026
A survey was available in January 2026 for the community to provide their feedback on the project. Thanks to everyone who participated!
