What We Are Asking
The City of Saskatoon (City) is reviewing our solar administration process and we want to learn about your experience with installing solar panels on buildings in Saskatoon. Whether you're a property owner, solar installer, City staff, or utility provider, your feedback will help us understand if there are challenges in the current permitting process, such as the approval time and costs.
The feedback we receive, along with best practice research and internal City considerations, will be provided to City Council in 2026. Your feedback will help us find ways to make the process faster, simpler and more cost-effective for everyone.
How You Can Get Involved
This summer we are engaging solar installers and contractors, property managers and owners with rooftop solar. Those who are invited can provide their feedback through a community survey and meetings.
