Virtual Decarbonization Plans (VDP)
VDP is a virtual planning tool that uses building energy consumption data and planned retrofit information to create a customized decarbonization roadmap; and is available after registering for the Commercial Energy Planner and entering Commercial Energy Benchmarking data.
It helps identify potential opportunities for energy efficiency retrofits and estimates carbon reductions and cost paybacks without requiring a traditional on-site energy audit and its associated costs. The VDP helps building owners identify and prioritize high-impact energy upgrades, enabling informed investment decisions before undertaking detailed engineering studies or energy audits.
The VDP provides insights into:

- Greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction pathways
- Estimated energy and cost savings
- Decarbonization scenarios
- Project costs and payback periods
