Structure fire - 654 Gladmer Park

At approximately 2:38 this afternoon, the Saskatoon Fire Department received multiple 911 calls reporting smoke exiting a multi-unit townhouse complex. The source unit was identified as 654 Gladmer Park.
Immediately dispatched were three Fire Engines, one Aerial Ladder Truck, one Heavy Rescue Unit, one Fire Investigation Unit, and one Battalion Chief.
Fire crews observed heavy smoke inside the townhouse and visibly exiting through upper-level windows. Firefighters shut down the gas line to the source unit and utility technicians were requested to disconnect remaining utilities. An interior attack was initiated and a fire was quickly located and extinguished in the kitchen. Fire crews performed searches of the source unit, as well as adjoining units to ensure all occupants and pets were safely evacuated. Fire crews tested carbon monoxide (CO) levels around the complex, and ventilation fans were used to clear the source unit and its adjoining units of any remaining smoke or carbon monoxide.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this fire. Fire Investigators are working to determine a cause and damage estimate.
Possible structure fire reported - 2225 Speers Avenue

At approximately 11:04 this morning, the Saskatoon Fire Department received a 911 call reporting a possible structure fire at 2225 Speers Avenue.
Immediately dispatched were three Fire Engines, one Aerial Ladder Truck, one Heavy Rescue Unit, and one Battalion Chief.
Upon working with the caller, Fire Dispatchers identified for responding crews that the reported fire was outside of the structure in what appeared to be a dust collection appliance. Fire crews arrived on scene in just over three minutes and quickly extinguished the fire, containing the affected area to only the appliance. One civilian was treated for what is believed to be minor smoke inhalation as a result of the fire.
There were no additional injuries or exposures as a result of this incident. A Fire Investigator has ruled the fire accidental with damage estimated at $500.
UPDATE: Garage fire

Fire Investigators have determined that the fire, causing an estimated $120,000 in damage to a property located at 310 Cree Crescent, was accidental in nature. A Fire Investigator remains on this case to identify an exact cause.

At approximately 4:00 a.m. the Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a reported garage fire at 310 Cree Crescent. 3 fire engines, 1 aerial , 1 rescue truck, and a Battalion chief responded to the incident.
It took crews approximately 30 minutes to get the fire under control. Damage is estimated at $120,000 which includes building and contents. Fire investigators are on scene to determine cause and origin.

At approximately 4:00 am the Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a reported garage fire at 310 Cree Crescent. 3 fire engines, 1 aerial , 1 rescue truck, and a Battalion chief responded to the incident.
It took crews approximately 30 minutes to get the fire under control. Damage is estimated at $120,000 which includes building and contents. Fire investigators are on scene to determine cause and origin.
Semi trailer rollover

At approximately 1:00 pm Saskatoon Fire Department responded to the intersection of Circle Drive and Avenue C.N for a reported semi trailer that had rolled on its side. Two fire engines, one rescue truck, and a Battalion Chief responded to the incident. First arriving Officer had to determine what the cargo was to rule out any dangerous goods on board and to check for injuries. The cargo was industrial parts and there were no injuries reported. One Engine remained on scene until the scene was deemed safe.
