Structure Fire - 800 block of Confederation Dr

- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- The fire has been brought under control.
- A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
Firefighters observed black smoke coming from 2nd storey balcony of the apartment building.
Crews advanced hose lines to the 2nd floor of the apartment building to start an interior attack of the fire and apply water. Other crews were tasked to evacuate the building to confirm no occupants remained inside. After the fire was brought under control, crews ventilated structure to remove smoke and test air quality before any occupants were allowed enter back into building.

- The scene was turned over to Saskatoon Police Service for further investigation.
First arriving crews observed a paddleboarder bringing a person in distress towards shore.
Water rescue personnel advanced a rope to the paddleboarder to assist moving the patient to shore.
Water rescue personnel transferred the patient to the rescue boat.
The patient was taken to the Fire Department boat launch, then transported to hospital.

First arriving crews observed smoke coming from a detached garage.
Crews deployed hose lines and performed an interior attack.
Crews determined there were no occupants in the garage.
Structure fire – 1100 Block of McKercher Drive

- Crews advanced a hose line to apply water on the exterior fire while another crew entered the building to search and confirm no occupants remained inside.
- Fire crews set up large fans to remove any lingering smoke and toxins from the suite.
- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.

Grass Fire - Circle Drive W
June 10, 2025 - 4:28 am
- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- The fire has been brought under control.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
First responding apparatus observed a large grass fire adjacent to the train tracks caused by a CN train travelling southbound. The fire stretched between 33rd St W and 22nd St W and moved quickly toward the sound barrier.
Incident Command called for additional apparatus to respond to incident and started an aggressive attack to stop fire travel towards structures behind the sound barrier. Firefighters used multiple hose lines to rapidly apply water to the fire burning along the train tracks and brush trucks drove along the ditch to extinguish telecommunication poles and trees. A total of 8 fire apparatus were deployed to aid in extinguishment.
