Structure Fire 400 Block Fairmont Drive

- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

Firefighters observed heavy smoke and flames coming from a suite in the apartment complex
Crews advanced multiple hose lines to apply water from both the exterior and interior of the building.
Another crew entered the building to ensure no occupants remained inside
Fire crews set up large fans to remove any lingering smoke and toxins from the building.

Firefighters observed flames coming from the back of a two-story house that was under construction.
First arriving crews determined the structure was not safe to enter.
Firefighters stretched multiple hose lines for a defensive attack.
Crews are on scene waiting for equipment to arrive and demolish the structure.
Lithium battery fire - 1100 block 17th St W

- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
Firefighters observed light smoke coming from the building. The building was fully evacuated prior to Firefighters arrival.
Crews entered the building with charged hoselines. Upon entry, a smoldering lithium battery was found. The area burnt around the battery was extinguished and the battery was removed from the building to the street. Crews set up fans to ventilate the building. Hazmat was dispatched to the scene to ensure no further hazards existed.
Vehicles stranded Circle Dr and Idylwyld Dr. underpass

One vehicle was found stranded in the water following a heavy rain at the Circle Drive and Idylwyld Drive underpass. Two additional vehicles drove into the water and became immobilized before Saskatoon police could block off south bound traffic
Tow trucks were dispatched to tow the immobilized vehicles.
The public is advised to avoid areas prone to flooding during and after heavy rain. Drivers should never attempt to drive through standing water, as the depth is often greater than it appears and can cause vehicles to stall, or be swept away.
MVC - Single vehicle roll over - 22nd St and Neault Rd

- The scene was turned over to Police for further investigation.
A concrete mixer truck was involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident today at the intersection of 22nd Street and Neault Road.
Fire crews responded to the scene and initially observed a fluid leak from the truck. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the leaking substance was water, posing no environmental hazard.
The scene has been secured and traffic is being rerouted. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
A hose line was deployed as a precautionary measure. The driver had already self-extricated and was sitting on the curb when firefighters arrived. After assessing the patient, the driver was then walked to a Medavie ambulance for a more thorough medical evaluation.
