1st Avenue will be closed between 26th and King streets on Sunday, May 15, at 7:00 a.m. for roadway patching work. The intersection at 1st Avenue and Queen Street will be closed during this project. The intersection at Preston Avenue and Adelaide Street will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic on Saturday, May 14, at 7:00 a.m. for roadway patching work. Turning lanes to Preston Avenue southbound, and Adelaide Street eastbound will remain open during this project. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around this work. This project is expected to take eight hours to complete, barring any unforeseen circumstances or weather delays.

This project is expected to take two hours to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Spring is a busy time of year for projects in the yard, garden, and around the home.  Contractors and homeowners with a property adjacent to a park may wish to use the park as an access point for deliveries, equipment and/or vehicles related to their projects.

 

The City would like to remind contractors and homeowners about the importance of gaining approval before accessing a park to ensure the safety and enjoyment of these spaces for everyone.

 

To obtain a permit, contractors and homeowners can either: 

1) Complete the Request Access to a Park online form at saskatoon.ca/parkaccess; or,

2) Call Parks Customer Service at 306-975-3300. 

 

Permit applications should be submitted at least one week prior to the date required.
