Bylaw No. 10196, The TCU Place Loan Authorization Bylaw, 2026
Saskatoon City Council will consider Bylaw No. 10196, The TCU Place Loan Authorization Bylaw, 2026, a bylaw to authorize a loan of $1,000,000 to TCU Place over a term of up to 10 years for the installation of a new theatre sound system. Council Policy No. C01-021, The Public Notice Policy requires that City Council give public notice before lending money to one of the City’s controlled corporations.
REASON FOR THE BYLAW – Subsection 152(1) of The Cities Act requires that a city may only loan money to one of its controlled corporations if the loan is authorized by bylaw.
