Garage Fire - 200 block Ave. M N.

- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.

Crews observed smoke coming from a detached garage.
Action(s) Taken:
Crews advanced hose lines and forced entry into the garage.
Crews had to remove a large number of stored items to find the seat of the fire.
A search confirmed there were no occupants in the garage.

Water rescue – North of Broadway Bridge

- Firefighters arrived with multiple SPS units on scene
- Fire crew launched rescue boat
- Crew on the boat with the aid of SPS direction from bridge and coordination from the shore- located patient
- Fire crew got patient on board the rescue boat and brought patient to shore
- Turned patient care over to ambulance service

Wildland Grass Fire- Highway 219 in Corman Park
April 20, 2026 - 9:52 pm
- Firefighters observed smoke and flames from a wildland grass fire
- Responded with two specialized four wheel drive wildland trucks, a water tanker, a fire engine and a command vehicle
- Fire crews are using hose lines and the specialized wildland trucks to extinguish and contain the fire
- Fire crews remain on scene.

White Powder - 300 BLK 103rd St E
April 20, 2026 - 4:46 pm
- Unknown substance at Canada Post Distribution Centre
- One SFD engine company, HAZMAT technician unit, HAZMAT decontamination unit and battalion chief responded to address for report of an unknown white powder.
- First responding engine company identified the initial hazard and established a hot zone.
- One postal worker exposed to the unknown substance. SFD paramedics assessed worker. Worker showed no signs or symptoms of injury or distress.
- HAZMAT technicians donned hazard appropriate PPE and entered hot zone with a cache of hazardous material identifying equipment.
- Product was deemed non-hazardous.
- Normal operations resumed at facility.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
