- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated.

Fire observed heavy smoke and flames coming from 3rd floor balcony
Action(s) Taken:
Crews advanced hose lines to apply water to the exterior while another crew set up ground ladders to remove an occupants with their pet from an adjacent balcony
Fire crews forced entry into multiple areas of building to confirm no other occupants or pets remained inside
Fire crews set up large fans to remove any lingering smoke and toxins from the building

Boat in Distress - South Sask. River
June 16, 2026 - 2:44 pm
- Water rescue boat, one engine company and battalion chief responded to South Sask. River.
- 911 caller reported boat being carried downriver with boat operator unable to start outboard engine.
- Boat operator was able to contact Fire Dispatch Centre and Engine Company Captain for instructions.
- SFD Water Rescue boat with water rescue personnel was launched.
- Boat operator "threw anchor" to slow boat and was able to restart outboard engine.
- SFD Water Rescue boat accompanied boat to boat launch
- SFD Deputy Fire Chief Thody issued a River Warning news release @ 1254 pm
- South Sask. River flows in excess of 700 cubic meters per second. River will rise 60 cm/2 feet above normal.
- SFD will not deploy rescue divers above 450 cubic meters per second
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

- Firefighters performed a transitional fire attack
- Firefighters made forcible entry into garage and yard to access
