Structure Fire 200 block Ave. D S.

- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
First arriving crews observed smoke coming from a detached garage.
Crews deployed hose lines and performed an interior attack.
Crews determined there were no occupants in the garage.
Structure fire – 1100 Block of McKercher Drive

- Crews advanced a hose line to apply water on the exterior fire while another crew entered the building to search and confirm no occupants remained inside.
- Fire crews set up large fans to remove any lingering smoke and toxins from the suite.
- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

Grass Fire - Circle Drive W

- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- The fire has been brought under control.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
First responding apparatus observed a large grass fire adjacent to the train tracks caused by a CN train travelling southbound. The fire stretched between 33rd St W and 22nd St W and moved quickly toward the sound barrier.
Incident Command called for additional apparatus to respond to incident and started an aggressive attack to stop fire travel towards structures behind the sound barrier. Firefighters used multiple hose lines to rapidly apply water to the fire burning along the train tracks and brush trucks drove along the ditch to extinguish telecommunication poles and trees. A total of 8 fire apparatus were deployed to aid in extinguishment.
Apartment fire- 1800 block of Main Street

- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
Firefighters observed smoke coming from apartment.
Crews advanced multiple hose lines to extinguish fire.
Crew entered apartment to search and confirm no occupants remained inside.
Balcony Fire - 1100 block of Baltzan Blvd
June 2, 2025 - 2:35 am
- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- The fire has been brought under control.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
Firefighters observed smoke and water exiting 2nd floor balcony.
After investigating 2nd floor balcony, firefighters found an extinguished fire and an activated sprinkler protection system flowing water. Firefighters confirmed fire was extinguished and proceeded to stop the water flow on the balcony. Fire crews confirmed that there was no extension into the suite and all smoke and toxins were removed. Evacuated occupants were allowed to return to their suites.
