Collision also involved a neighbors parked car and garage

Action(s) Taken:

Crews evaluated both garage and house for hazards 

Electricity was turned off to garage and basement of house 

More Information:
  • A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated.
  • The scene was turned over to Saskatoon Police Service for further investigation.

Crews advanced hose lines to apply water to fire from outside 

Crews entered basement to extinguish fire 

Search was performed to confirm no occupants remained inside

Fans were set up to clear smoke from house

Two-Alarm Multiple Structure Fire - 400 block of Geary Crescent

Crews arrived to thick heavy black smoke with a structure fully involved in fire.

Action(s) Taken:
  • Two aerial units, four engines, one rescue unit and Command 9 have responded to the scene
  • Deputy chief, Battalion chief, safety officer for a total of 32 firefighters on scene
  • Crews have taken defensive position to prevent further spread
  • Public is asked to avoid the area

  • Fire crews set up large fans to remove any lingering smoke and toxins from the building
